Immunotherapy Patient Action Plans
Patient Action Plans are resources that guide patients receiving a specific immunotherapy on possible side effects. These plans are intended to be patient-directed, printer-friendly packets of information that can be used by healthcare providers during discussions with patients about their therapy.
Each plan begins with a page for notes to write down details the patient needs to remember but may not retain. The following pages include information on how the medication is administered, and each side effect associated with that therapy. Additionally, the plan includes a guide for the patient to follow if a reaction to the therapy occurs, including what to do for a mild reaction versus a severe reaction necessitating immediate emergency medical assistance.
