Immunotherapy Patient Action Plans
Patient Action Plans are comprehensive resources that guide patients receiving a specific immunotherapy. The plans specifically cover treatment side effects and what patients should do if they experience them.
We encourage you to print (see below) the appropriate plan for your patient at the start of the appointment and go over the pages with your patient during your time together.
Each plan begins with a page for notes to write down details the patient needs to remember but may not retain after their appointment with you. Other pages include information on how the medication is administered, and each side effect associated with that therapy. Most importantly, the plan includes a guide for the patient to follow if a reaction to the therapy occurs, including what to do for a mild reaction versus a severe reaction necessitating immediate emergency medical assistance.
